Gehidi
Gehidi is a custom display typeface and illustration system designed for children’s wayfinding. Inspired by the sound of a word a child might invent, the typeface favors expressive, rounded forms over rigid structure — with each glyph shaped to feel like a character of its own. The illustrations follow a geometric visual logic, while the type provides a soft, emotional counterpoint. It’s a system built for both navigation and imagination. Together, the letterforms and block-based structures form a familiar world — one children can relate to, explore, and build stories within.
Gehidi Type
Custom letterforms designed aren’t modular — they’re expressive and intentionally varied. Each one is drawn as a standalone character with its own rhythm, allowing for emotional range and visual storytelling throughout the alphabet. The non-modular structure allows each letter to have its own voice — making the typeface feel alive, as though each glyph plays a unique role in an alphabetic ecosystem. The usafe case is ideal for educational signage and child-friendly interfaces.
